Welcome to MyJury ("we", "us", or "our"). These Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (together, the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the MyJury mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, accessing, creating an account on, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
Zero-Tolerance Policy for Objectionable Content and Abusive Users
MyJury enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy for objectionable, abusive, explicit, infringing, or harassing content and behaviour. Any user who uploads, shares, or engages in such content or behaviour will have that content permanently removed and will be permanently banned from the platform.
1. Eligibility (18+)
You must be at least 18 years old to use MyJury. By creating an account or using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. You will be asked to confirm your age and accept these Terms before using the app.
2. Your Account
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- You must provide accurate information when registering.
- You may not create multiple accounts or impersonate other people.
- You must notify us promptly of any unauthorised use of your account.
3. User-Generated Content & Community Safety
MyJury is a constructive feedback platform for photographers. To keep it safe and respectful, all users must follow these rules.
3.1 Prohibited Content
You agree that you will NOT upload, post, or transmit any photograph or text (including your display name or profile links) that contains:
- Nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit or obscene material.
- Hate speech, defamation, harassment, threats, bullying, or discrimination against any individual or group.
- Violence, gore, self-harm, or promotion of illegal acts.
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any exploitation of minors. Such content will be reported to law enforcement and the relevant child-protection authorities.
- Copyright infringement, photographs of identifiable people taken or shared without their consent, or other intellectual property violations.
- Spam, commercial solicitation, malicious links, or impersonation of others.
3.2 Acceptable Use
You also agree not to:
- Upload photographs you do not own or do not have the right to submit.
- Manipulate results through vote brigading, coordinated voting, or duplicate ("sockpuppet") accounts.
- Use bots, scripts, or other automated tools to vote or interact with the Service.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure, or circumvent its limits or regional restrictions.
- Sell, transfer, or commercially exploit your account or credits.
3.3 Moderation & 24-Hour Review
- Immediate feed removal: when you hide or report a post, it is removed from your voting queue immediately. When you block a photographer, all of their content is removed from your view.
- 24-hour review: every report is reviewed by a human moderator within 24 hours. If a violation is confirmed, the content is permanently deleted and the offending account is suspended or terminated.
- Automated screening: profile text you enter — your display name, country, website, and Instagram handle — is automatically screened and rejected if it contains profanity, slurs, or abusive terms.
3.4 Your Safety Controls (Hide, Report & Block)
From the options menu on any photo in the voting queue you can:
- Hide Post: remove it from your voting queue at any time.
- Report Inappropriate Content: choose a reason (Inappropriate Content, Spam, AI Generated Image, DMCA / Copyright, or CSAM / Illegal Content).
- Report or block a profile: open any member's profile from Top Jurors and tap "•••" to report it (Inappropriate Profile, Impersonation, or Spam) or block them. Confirmed reports remove the profile from public view.
- Block Photographer: once blocked, you will not see their submissions or profile and they will not see yours. You can manage blocked users under Settings → Blocked Photographers.
- Contact us directly: report safety issues at any time by emailing reports@myjuryapp.com.
4. Your Content & Licences
4.1 Ownership and Licence to Operate the Service
You keep full copyright and ownership of every photograph you submit. By uploading, you confirm that you own the rights to the image or have permission to submit it, and you agree to its anonymous display for community review. You grant MyJury a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, revocable licence to:
- Store, process, and display your photographs to other users within the app for the purpose of community voting.
- Create and display resized preview and detail versions of your images.
- Display aggregated, anonymised results and statistics within the app.
This licence exists solely to operate the Service. We will not sell or license your photographs, use them to train AI models, or use them for any external or promotional purpose under it. It ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, subject to the 30-day deletion period described in Section 9 and our Privacy Policy.
4.2 Promotional Usage (Separate, Optional, Revocable)
Separately, and only if you opt in with the "Feature my images (always credited)" toggle in Settings → Privacy → Promotional Usage, you grant MyJury, its affiliated networks, and media partners an additional, revocable licence to feature your submitted images across official websites, social media, print/digital publications, exhibitions, and video platforms (including YouTube showcases and compilations) for promotional and educational purposes. Your photographer name will always be credited. This licence is off by default and can be switched on or off at any time. Switching it off stops future use, though materials already published may not be retractable.
4.3 End User Licence
Subject to these Terms, MyJury grants you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the MyJury app on an Apple or Android device that you own or control, strictly in accordance with these Terms and the usage rules of the App Store or Google Play.
5. Credits & In-App Purchases
- Each submission — a Single Image Review or a Comparison Review — costs 1 credit.
- Credits can be earned by voting on other photographers' submissions, by watching optional rewarded ads where available, or bought as consumable in-app purchases through Apple or Google Play.
- Credits are virtual items with no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money or transferred to another account.
- Purchases are processed by Apple or Google and are governed by their terms and refund policies. Credits that have been spent are non-refundable, except where required by law.
- Earning limits apply to free credits (including a daily limit on ad rewards and a maximum balance of earned credits), and rewarded ads or purchases may be unavailable in some regions or on VPN and proxy connections. Current limits are described in our FAQ.
- Limits apply to the number of submissions you can have in review at once, based on your lifetime votes cast, as detailed in our FAQ. Credits do not expire.
- Earned credits may be removed if they were obtained through fraud or abuse. We may change pricing, earning rates, or the credit system with reasonable notice.
6. Votes and Results
Results reflect the opinions of individual community members and do not constitute professional photographic advice. MyJury does not guarantee the accuracy, quality, or fairness of any vote or result. Every vote counts equally; badges and Verified Photographer status do not change the weight of a vote.
When voting, you agree to give honest, considered answers. Deliberately misleading votes, speed-clicking, or patterns consistent with fraud may lead to suspension and removal of earned credits.
7. Intellectual Property
The MyJury name, logo, app design, and all other proprietary elements of the Service are owned by MyJury and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our express written permission.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MyJury shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service, including loss of data or credits. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Termination & Deletion
We may suspend or terminate your account immediately, and without prior notice, if we determine that you have violated these Terms, uploaded objectionable content, behaved abusively, or tried to manipulate the Service's voting or integrity systems.
You can delete individual submissions at any time from the Results tab, and your whole account from Settings → Account Data → Delete My Account. Deleted content is hidden immediately and permanently erased, including its images, within 30 days. When your account is terminated or deleted, your licence to use the Service ends.
10. Apple-Specific Terms
These Terms are between you and MyJury, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will ask you to review and accept the updated Terms in the app. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts where MyJury operates, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have in your country of residence.
